You will become part of the Map Unit in Mora, a small and efficient service-based unit within the Environmental and Planning Administration, focusing on GIS and surveying. Our work is characterized by collaboration, short decision-making paths, curiosity, and great commitment. About the role

Here, you will have a varied role where you combine technical development work with business-oriented problem solving. You will work on creating smart GIS applications, developing data flows and integrations, and contributing to how geodata is used to make better decisions throughout the organization. The work involves both significant independence and close collaboration in projects together with engaged colleagues, business experts, and cooperation with other municipalities.

There are good opportunities to develop within GIS, integrations, and AI, while you also get to share your expertise through training and support to the operations.

Technology and areas of work

• FME Desktop and FME Server for integration and automation
• GeoServer, Origo, and QGIS in our GIS platform
• PostgreSQL/PostGIS for database management
• GitHub for version control, documentation, and open collaboration
• Work with APIs and web services
• GIS analysis and geodata processing
• Integrations and automation
• AI in daily work and in development work
• Work with IoT and 3D
• Train and support operations
• Work with geodata such as business and authority data and open data

Qualifications

You have a background in geographic information technology and system integration or similar experience, as well as an interest in working close to the business operations.

We are looking for you who have experience working with FME Desktop and/or FME Server.

If you also have experience from municipal operations and knowledge of geodata and related processes within the municipal sector, we consider it a great advantage.

You can be at the beginning of your career or have long experience – most important is your drive and your willingness to develop and see the possibilities with new technology.

The position may involve travel, and therefore a B driver's license is required.

You have good ability to communicate clearly in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
